Hi, my name is Sole.
I'm a photographer and visual artist who travels around the world, currently based in Seoul, Korea. I have a passion for creating fresh and evocative images using both film and digital cameras, capturing the beauty of life and the world around us. Alongside my photography, I'm a dedicated art enthusiast, working on paintings and mixed media art, always experimenting with various mediums.
My works are centered around the concepts of comfort and beauty within desolation, capturing the glimmering essence of loss. I envision the landscapes that might unfurl when emotions are sifted through, breathing life into every empty canvas. I admire the multifaceted faces of love crafted by humans and the untouched marvels of nature.
Drawing inspiration from the colours and narratives of the world, I always loved visual storytelling with concepts, ideas, and emotions. To express and communicate through images, I have honed a diverse range of mediums, including painting, graphic design, and photography. Today, I blend these tools together and assist brands, artists, and individuals in bringing their visions to life.
About my Photography
As a photographer, my focus is on working with passionate artists, brands, and individuals to capture their intrinsic value and unique beauty. I specialize in helping them stand out through branding and weaving their stories into the visuals.
In analog photography, I mainly shoot individual portraits, lifestyles, profile images for artists and album jackets for musicians. The reason I am drawn to using film for more creative shots is that the constraints of film enable greater room for artistic expression. Uncertainty surrounding results drives photographers to explore more imaginative approaches, and limited shots make me to approach each shutter press with more intention and thoughtfulness.
Using my digital camera, I cover various subjects including concerts, events, food, product photography and more.
